I would have given him bonus points for WWII style jerry cans bolted to the side of the car. Or at least some sort of siphon function that feeds the main tank. DC to LA, one tank. Let's do it.

You know what I've found to be difficult to find on road where the prius can travel (highways and such)? Gas.

Seriously, they should develop "stations" where it is dispensed from. We could even put them on maps to find them easier. Oh well, glad those fancy electric cars are coming soon!

I remember reading a hilarious article years back about Car and Driver going non-stop from new york to LA ( i think.)
Non-stop meant non-stop too. They got a big ass fuel tank, taped the doors shut, figured out a urinal system and then proceeded to eat an all liquid diet for the 30 something hours it took a pair of dudes to make it. I think they were driving an old Passat.

Was Bear Grylls one of the drivers? He's got his own urinal system.

Yeah. It sounded pretty unhappy. Also hilarious. I laughed at their discomfort.

Oh yeah. And I'm sure there was plenty of it.
That is the sort of hijinks I'm sort of sad I don't get paid to do now that I think about it.

Agreed.
Just once in my life, I want to have a boss that says to me "Now go forth and do something stupid so that you have a good story to tell later on."
